4.9. Gathering+
Sometimes during the saddle-stitched book imposition emerge uncompleted gathering, that consists of one half press sheet, e.g.:
- for 8 pages on the sheet: uncompleted gathering from the half press sheet 4x4 ("4-Pages");
- for 16 pages on the sheet: uncompleted gathering from the half press sheet 2x8 ("8-Pages") and/or uncompleted gathering from the half press sheet 4x4 ("4-Pages").
Sewing such a sheet (especially a „4-Pages”) is difficult, that is why the program enables of such a sheet to the next or previous completed gathering – if it occurs in a book block.
Such a gathering (gathering+), in which the number of sheets is larger than declared, is marked with + in the Sheet’s Tabel.
The sheet added to the next or previous gathering – can be added as middle or external sheet in relation to whole press sheets already existing in the gathering before adding.
Adding uncompleted gatherings (one sheet, half press) works for 8 and 16 pages on the sheet.
