In the F4 OFFSETS|IMPOSITION OF CUTTING DIES panel, you can specify the offset:
Column and row offsets can be used simultaneously.
Additionally, you can reduce the number of cells in even or odd columns or rows by one.
The offsets and exclusions specified in this panel support the imposition of irregular shapes, such as box cutting dies.
Important! Enabling offsets disables the ability to place PDF pages with left mouse clicks. After planning the sheet, temporarily disable offsets, fill the sheet with PDF pages, and re-enable offsets.
Note! When column and row shifts are enabled, some markers drawn on the imposition sheet (e.g., cut marks, selected cut-off lines) may become incorrect. Therefore, it is recommended to check the sheets carefully before printing.
Imposition of the box die cut and box design
If you want to perform an imposition of the box artwork and its die cut on separate PDF pages (or in separate PDF files), fill in two separate sheets: one with the artwork and the other with the die cut. Both files should have TrimBoxes of the same size.
The screenshot below shows that without additional rotation of the cell grid, changes in the spacing between columns and rows, and without shifting, only 12 cell grids (4 columns x 3 rows) will fit on sheet B2.
Nevertheless, we will increase the number of cell grids to 16 (4 columns x 4 rows).
Additional settings include:
After duplicating the sheet (context menu Duplicate the selected sheet), you can fill the sheet with a box image file. Filling the sheet and adding rotations is possible after activating the F1 IMPOSITION FILES panel and temporarily disabling row shifts.
Important! In the box graphic design, areas outside the bleed should be transparent.
For more information on die imposition, see section 4.7. Subpanel ELEMENTS IN PDF FORMAT.
