After launching the program, the user can perform one of several actions to start working with the program – load a previously saved imposition project, create a new imposition, go to the website with documentation, or close the program. The start window can be disabled for subsequent launches of the program [1].

All program settings are saved in configuration files located in the MyImpozycjoner folder and its subfolders.
The MyImpozycjoner folder, along with its subfolders and configuration files, is created (if it does not exist) in the user's account each time the program is launched in any variant:
MyImpozycjoner folder structure:

CCS folder – stores densitometric strips in PDF format (common to variants A and B, which use them).
PDF folder – stores PDF elements used in the F7 PDF ELEMENTS panel if they are not found in their original location.
SGM folder – stores side guide marker elements in PDF format used in the SIDE GUIDE MARKER subpanel (common to variants A and B, which use them).
CCS, PDF, and SGM folders are also used by the Impozycjoner software version 4.x.
The Settings folder, which contains the v5 subfolder, contains the A_XML, B_XML, and C_XML subfolders, which contain configuration files for individual variants of version 5.x of the program.
If version 4 of the Impozycjoner software was installed on your computer, the Settings folder contains several dozen files, most of which have the *.imp extension. These are configuration files for version 4.x of the software.
Among these files is a file with additional color definitions (spot) – Spot_Colors.txt. Each line of this file corresponds to the definition of one additional color:
The first word is the name of the color, and the following values (separated by commas) specify its components in the CMYK model (values from 0% to 100%).
After installation, this folder contains the HFConfig.xml file, which is responsible for configuring Hot-Folder Monitors. The contents of this file are managed by the HFM Configurator dialog box, which can be accessed from the START panel.
The folder also contains subfolders A_XML, B_XML, and C_XML, which contain configuration files for individual variants of the program in version 5.x.
Contents of folders A_XML, B_XML, and C_XML:
Template subfolder – default folder for templates.
Config.xml – configuration file.
DefaultA.impa, DefaultB.impb, DefaultC.impc – default templates loaded when the program is started.
Folders.xml – definitions of system folders, if different from the default (details discussed below).
Machines.xml – definitions of offset machines, applies to variants A and B.
Papers.xml – definitions of papers.
Recent.xml – list of recently loaded projects.
TemplateFoldersVariant.txt – definitions of folders where program templates will be stored separately for each variant. Each line defines a folder assigned to one of the 9 keys in the Save/Open Template dialog box. The tenth key indicates the folder: C:\Users\Account_name\AppData\Local\MyImpozycjoner\Settings\v5\Variant_XML\Template.
varVariant.txt – custom combinations of text variables for each variant separately.
SeqS_Variant.xml – entries in the Exception Table, applies to variants B and C.
DefFS.xml – names of default folding schemes for each number of pages on a sheet, applies only to variant B.
In this variant, the B_XML folder also contains the FS folder, which stores the folding schemes supplied with the program (the folder is reset each time the program is started).
The Folders.xml file is a separate document for each variant containing definitions of the program's system folders. File structure:

Proper configuration of this file enables file sharing between program variants and between workstations in a DTP studio where the Impozycjoner software is installed on more than one workstation.
Between the CCS, PDF, SGM, and FS markers, you must include the full paths to the folders containing the densitometric strips, PDF elements, side guide markers, and folding schemes for variant B. The paths can point to network locations, which allows files to be shared between workstations.
You can edit the Folders.xml file in any text editor, such as Notepad.
The Others folder is intended for shared files, which are saved separately for each variant in the A_XML, B_XML, and C_XML folders by default:
The Other folder is located on a computer named Desktop-pqc0r36, on drive F of that computer, and is named IMP_OTHERS.
If each of the Folders.xml files stored in the A_XML, B_XML, and C_XML folders contains such an entry, the program will first search for the aforementioned files in that folder. If this folder does not exist, the Others folder will correspond to the path:
If the folder exists but does not contain the files being searched for, the program will search for them in the default post-installation folders. The record, e.g., of the updated securities table, will be made in the file that was found.
If, for example, the Machines.xml file is located in the
folder, and such an entry is in the Folders.xml file for variants A and B, the program will use the offset machine definitions common to both variants (on the same user account).
If the Folders.xml file is saved one level higher, i.e. in the MyImpozycjoner\Settings\v5 folder, each of the program variants will first use this file to read the system folders, ignoring the contents of the Folders.xml files saved in the A_XML, B_XML, and C_XML subfolders.
