3.10. Personalization with geometric figures (F2 FIG panel)The F2 FIG panel is a module designed for applying basic geometric shapes, such as rectangles, to a personalized background. Unlike other panels, these elements are not personalization elements, which means that the defined shape is applied in identical form to each subsequent page of the generated document. The user activates the drawing process by selecting the appropriate tool in the Shape subpanel.
When defining the dimensions of the shapes, the program offers visual support in a simplified preview – if an object exceeds the safe margin line or enters the bleed area, it will automatically be displayed in red. Precise placement of the shape on the sheet is done by setting the coordinates (X, Y) for the selected node, after which it is recommended to use the object position lock function to protect it from accidental movement during further design work.
The panel's editing capabilities include defining the fill color in CMYK (e.g., C 56, M 16, Y 0, K 0), RGB, or spot color, as well as advanced background visibility management. A very practical application of this module is the transparency function. If the background pattern makes it difficult to read the personalized data, the user can draw a large rectangle (e.g., white) and set its transparency level (e.g., to 30%), which allows the background to be “muted” and significantly improves the readability of the applied inscriptions. All these settings constitute the final stage of project preparation before file generation begins.
Step 15. The next object that will be placed on the background will be a colored rectangle drawn in the upper right part of the ID [1]. After activating the data series, select the rectangle drawing tool from the Shape subpanel.

We are given only the height of the rectangle (16 mm), while we need to select the second dimension so that the rectangle crosses the bleed line (in the simplified preview, the rectangle will be drawn in red because the safe margin line has been closed) [2].
After setting the position of the top-left node at X=96 and Y=4, we lock the position of the rectangle [3]. Next, we define its color: C 56, M 16, Y 0, K 0 [4].

Step 15, optional. The background for the personalization was prepared so that all the texts are legible. However, it may be that the background pattern needs to be further weakened. In this case, for example, you can draw a large white rectangle (H= 79 mm, V=120 mm) with a transparency degree of 30% [1], which will make the background pattern less clear and the lettering more legible. Enter the position of the coordinates of the upper left node (X=-3, Y=23) and lock the position of the object. Save the project to update the final version on disk.

This way the personalization project was completed.
