3.3. Personalization with pdf pages (F4 PDF panel)The F4 PDF panel in the Personalizator program is a specialized tool used to specify the parameters of pages from PDF files that are used as personalization elements. This module, located in the side section of the interface, allows for precise management of imported PDF documents through a data table. The user can directly modify content such as page number or element size by double-clicking on the selected cell, while additional row management functions are available in the right-click menu.
The panel allows for very precise positioning of elements on the background. In the Node, coordinates, rotation angle subpanel, the user defines the X and Y coordinates for the selected anchor point (e.g., the upper left corner) and can then use the object position lock function to protect it from accidental movement. The program also offers flexible size adjustment options in the Scaling subpanel – setting only one dimension (e.g., height) while leaving the other at 0 mm results in automatic, proportional scaling of the PDF page. If a given element, such as a company logo, is to be a permanent part of the design, the user can switch the series mode to First on All, which will apply the same element to each generated page.
The use of PDF pages as personalized data carriers has its unique technical advantages. With the additional tool Convert bitmaps to pdf, the user can convert batch photos into a multi-page PDF file and load it into the F4 panel. This method is often preferred because PDF files allow for easier additional processing, such as precise cropping, using external editors. All these features make the F4 PDF panel a key module alongside the text personalization tools (F6 TXT, F7 XLS) and graphic personalization tools (F3 RAS).
Step 5: In the personalized badge, the pdf object is the logo (one-page personalizer-logo.pdf file). After loading the file into the table, change the series mode to First on All [1].

The logo can be resized in the Scaling subpanel. Set its height to 16 mm (width = 0 mm), so the logo will be scaled proportionally (the photos were resized in the same way).
In the Node, Coordinates, Angle of Rotation subpanel the coordinate values for the upper left corner are set: X=78, Y=4. The location of the object is locked, and the personalization project is saved to update the data on the disk.
Editing the content (page number and sizes) in table cells is possible by double-clicking on a cell with the mouse.
In the right-click menu there are several commands for the management of the selected row.

Option: In our task, the photos of the rally participants are placed on the background as raster graphics. However, it is possible with the additional [1] Convert bitmaps to pdf [2] tool to generate a multi-page pdf file that is the result of converting images to consecutive pdf pages.

Once data is loaded into the second series in the F4 PDF, panel, it can be placed on the background in the same way as the images were placed. This way of placing photos has the advantage that additional processing, such as cropping, can easily be done with a pdf editor.
