3.8. Personalization by numbers (F8 NUM panel)

Introduction

The F8 NUM panel in the Personalizator program stands out from other modules in that it does not have a personalization data table, because the numbers applied are generated automatically when subsequent pages of the document are created. The user has full control over the structure of the number sequence by specifying the starting number, the increment value, and the minimum number of digits, which, in combination with a filler character (e.g., 0), allows for an effect such as 001 instead of 1.

The editing options are very extensive and include not only text parameters such as font, color, and outline thickness, but also advanced positioning using coordinates and rotation angle. In the additional functions subpanel, it is possible to add any phrases before and after the number, which allows you to create complex identifiers (e.g., ID: 001/2026). The program also takes care of the aesthetics of large numbers by offering a thousand separator; by default, this is a hard space, but the system supports any Unicode characters, such as a 1/4 space (2005) or a hair space (200A).

A very practical solution is the function of saving generated numbers to an external text file (.txt). This allows for the secondary use of the created data series, for example as a source for the F5 COD panel, which enables the efficient generation of barcodes or QR codes corresponding to the assigned numbering. All these settings are part of a consistent layer system, where numbering (F8 NUM) is by default at the top, although its final position can be freely modified in the element order table.
